[Verse 1]
I speak for a man who gave for this land
Took a bullet in the back for his pay
Spilled his blood in the dirt and the dust
And he's come back to say
That what he has seen is hard to believe
And it does no good to just pray
Oh, he asks of us to stand and we must
End this war today
[Chorus]
With his mind, he's saying, "No more!"
With his heart, he's saying, "No more!"
With his life, he's saying, "No more war!"
With his eyes, he's saying, "No more!"
With his body, he's saying, "No more!"
With his voice, he's saying, "No more war!
No more war!"
[Verse 2]
Yeah, nothing's too good for a veteran
Yeah, this is what they say
So nothing is what they will get
In this new American way
The lies that were told to get us to go
Were criminal let us be straight
Let's get to the point where our voices are heard
Behind the white house gates
[Chorus]
With our minds, we're saying, "No more!"
With our hearts, we're saying, "No more!"
With our lives, we're saying, "No more war!"
With our eyes, we're saying, "No more!"
With our bodies, we're saying, "No more!"
With our voices, we're saying, "No more war!
No more war!"
[Bridge]
No more innocents dying
No more terrorizing
No more eulogizing
No more
No more evangelizing
No more
No more presidents lying
No more war
[Chorus]
With our minds, we're saying, "No more!"
With our hearts, we're saying, "No more!
With our lives, we're saying, "No more war!
No more war!
No more war!
No more war!
No more war!
No more war!
No more war!"

Rocket Science - Burn in Hell
Rocket Science - Burn in Hell
I was dancing like a crazy man
The record played my favourite sound
Said, "Girl you're too damn cute"
She said, "I prefer a man in a Sunday suit"
You know, I like to burn in hell
Yeah, I've got my soul to sell
The car was hot but my mind was steady
The boat was hot but the night was heavy
I said, "Girl you make me feel so good"
And said "I'm just bad with the firey burn"
You know, I like to burn in hell
Ah yeah, I got my soul to sell
Burn in hell!
Wow!
Go!
I was feelin' like a stupid top
The people yellin' and they make me stop
The walls lowered and they quivered with bugs
Y'know the bad flew away when we made love
Yeah, I like to burn in hell
Yeah, I've got my soul to sell
Burn in hell!
Wow!
Go, go, go, wooow!
Burn in hell, burn in hell, burn in hell
Woow, look out!
Oh wow!
Coldplay - Clocks -- 20th Anniversary Show - Jimmy Kimmel Live
The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead, singing
Come out of things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head and a
Trouble that can't be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singing
You are
You are
Confusion never stops
Closing walls and ticking clocks
Gonna come back and take you home
I could not stop that you now know, singing
Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure?
Or am I part of the disease? Singing
You are, you are, you are
You are, you are, you are
And nothing else compares
Oh nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
You are
You are
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Home, home where I wanted to go
Coldplay - WE PRAY ft. Little Simz & Elyanna - Glastonbury 2024
Coldplay - We Pray
(Whoa!)
And so We Pray
I pray that I don’t give up
Pray that I do my best
Pray that I can lift up
Pray my brother is blessed
Praying for enough
Pray Virgilio wins
Pray I-I-I
Judge nobody and forgive me my sins
I pray we make it
Pray my friend will pull through
Pray as I take it
Unto others I do
Praying on your love
We pray with every breath
Though I-I–I’m in the valley of the shadow of death
And so We Pray
For someone to come and show me the way
And so We Pray
For some shelter and some records to play
And so We Pray
We’ll be singing Baraye
Pray that we make it to the end of the day
And so We Pray
I know somewhere that heaven is waiting
And so We Pray
I know somewhere there’s something amazing
And so We Pray
I know somewhere we’ll feel no pain
Until we make it to the end of the day
I pray the love will
Shelter us from our fears
Oh I pray you trust to
Let me wipe off your tears
Confront all the pain that we felt inside
With all the cards we've been dealt in life
Pray I-I-I speak my truth and keep my sisters alive
So for the ones who parted seas
For the ones who’s following dreams
For the ones who knocked down doors
And allowed us to pass down keys
Pray that we speak with a tongue that is honest
And that we understand how to be modest
Pray when she looks at herself in the mirror
She sees a queen
She sees a goddess
And so We Pray
For someone to come and show me the way
And so We Pray
For some shelter and some records to play
And so We Pray
We’ll be singing Baraye
Pray that we make it to the end of the day
And so We Pray
I know somewhere that heaven is waiting
And so We Pray
I know somewhere there’s something amazing
And so We Pray
I know somewhere we’ll feel no pain
Until we make it to the end of the day
On my knees
I pray
As I sleep and wake
Cause inside my head is a frightening place
Keep a smiling face
Only by His grace
Cause love’s more than I can take
And so We Pray
For someone to come and show me the way
And so We Pray
For some shelter and some records to play
And so We Pray
We’ll be singing Baraye
‘til nobody’s in need
And everybody can say
La la la la la la la (la la)
La la la la la la la (la la la la)
La la la la la la la (sing it to me)
La la la la la
We Pray We Pray
I know somewhere that heaven is waiting (is waiting)
I know somewhere there’s something amazing (something amazing)
Until we feel no pain

Live - Lightning Crashes (Live in St Louis MO 07-17-2025)
Live - Lightning Crashes
Lightning crashes
A new mother cries
Her placenta falls to the floor
The angel opens her eyes
The confusion sets in
Before the doctor can even close the door
Lightning crashes
An old mother dies
Her intentions fall to the floor
The angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now, to the baby down the hall
Oh, now feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
Lightning crashes
A new mother cries
This moment she's been waiting for
The angel opens her eyes
Pale blue colored iris presents the circle
And puts the glory out to hide, hide
Oh, now feel it comin' back again
Like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
I can feel it
I can feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
I can feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
I can feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
I can feel it
I can feel it
Eddie Vedder - Guaranteed -- Firenze Rocks Festival, Firenze, Italy 06.24.2017
On bended knee is no way to be free
Lifting up an empty cup, I ask silently
That all my destinations will accept the one that's me
So I can breathe
Circles they grow and they swallow people whole
Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they'll never know
Got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul
And so it goes
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
Owning me like gravity are places that pull
If ever there was someone to keep me at home
It would be you
Everyone I come across in cages they bought
They think of me and my wandering but I'm never what they thought
Got my indignation but I'm pure in all my thoughts
I'm alive
Wind in my hair I feel part of everywhere
Underneath my being is a road that disappeared
Late at night I hear the trees they're singing with the dead
Overhead
Leave it to me as I find a way to be
Consider me a satellite forever orbiting
I know all the rules but the rules did not know me
Guaranteed.
Macklemore - HIND'S HALL - The Free Palestine Song (Sous-titres français)
Macklemore - HIND'S HALL - The Free Palestine Song
Woo
Yeah, the people, they won't leave
What is threatenin' about divesting and wantin' peace?
The problem isn't the protests, it's what they're protestin'
It goes against what our country is fundin' (Hey)
Block the barricade until Palestine is free (Hey)
Block the barricade until Palestine is free
When I was seven, I learned a lesson from Cube and Eazy-E
What was it again? Oh yeah, fuck the police (Woo)
Actors in badges protecting property
And a system that was designed by white supremacy (Brrt)
But the people are in the streets
You can pay off Meta, you can't pay off me
Politicians who serve by any means
AIPAC, CUFI, and all the companies
You see, we sell fear around the land of the free
But this generation here is about to cut the strings
You can ban TikTok, take us out the algorithm
But it's too late, we've seen the truth, we bear witness
Seen the rubble, the buildings, the mothers and the children
And all the men that you murdered and then we see how you spin it
Who gets the right to defend and who gets the right of resistance
Has always been about dollars and the color of your pigment, but
White supremacy is finally on blast
Screamin' "Free Palestine" 'til they're home at last (Woo)
We see the lies in them, claimin' it's antisemitic to be anti-Zionist
I've seen Jewish brothers and sisters out there and ridin' in
Solidarity and screamin' "Free Palestine" with them
Organizin', unlearnin' and finally cuttin' ties with
A state that's gotta rely on an apartheid system to uphold an occupyin' violent
History been repeating for the last seventy-five
The Nakba never ended, the colonizer lied (Woo)
If students in tents posted on the lawn
Occupyin' the quad is really against the law
And a reason to call in the police and their squad
Where does genocide land in your definition, huh? (Hey; hey)
Destroyin' every college in Gaza and every mosque
Pushin' everyone into Rafah and droppin' bombs
The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all
And fuck no, I'm not voting for you in the fall (Woo)
Undecided, you can't twist the truth, the people out here united
Never be defeated when freedom's on the horizon
Yet the music industry's quiet, complicit in their platform of silence (Hey, woo)
What happened to the artist? What do you got to say?
If I was on a label, you could drop me today
I'd be fine with it 'cause the heart fed my page
I want a ceasefire, fuck a response from Drake (Woo)
What you willin' to risk? What you willin' to give?
What if you were in Gaza? What if those were your kids?
If the West was pretendin' that you didn't exist
You'd want the world to stand up and the students finally did, let's get it (Woo)
Brrt
Woo

Guns 'N Roses - Sweet Child of Mine
Guns 'N Roses - Sweet Child of Mine
She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky (Sky)
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry
Whoa-oh-oh! Sweet child o' mine
Whoa, oh-oh-oh! Sweet love of mine
She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm, safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by
Whoa-oh-oh! Sweet child o' mine
Ooh, oh-oh-oh! Sweet love of mine
Oh yeah! Whoa-oh-oh-oh! Sweet child o' mine
Ooh-oh, oh, oh! Sweet love of mine
Whoa, oh-oh-oh! Sweet child o' mine, ooh yeah
Ooh! Sweet love of mine
Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Ooh, where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Oh, where do we go now?
Where do we go? (Sweet child)
Ooh, where do we go now?
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay
Where do we go now? Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah, wow
Where do we go?
Oh, where do we go now?
Oh, where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Ooh, where do we go now?
Now, now, now, now, now, now, now
Sweet child, sweet child o' mine
Good Neighbours - Home -- Glastonbury 2025
It's a light relief from a bad habit
It's my mother's cookin' when I can't have it
It's the last train home from the day trippin'
It's the place I know when I start slippin'
Darling, won't you take me home?
Send me shivers somewhere I used to go
Wrap my name across your mouth
When I let my feelings down
Darling, won't you take me home?
Yeah, won't you take me
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Tell me, does your mother know? Oh
I still love you, head to toe, yeah
Like the back of my car on a sunny day
You're the song on the radio I never play
You're the words in my soul that I wanna say, yeah, I wanna say
So won't you make me stay?
Won't you take me home?
Send me shivers somewhere I used to go
Wrap my name across your mouth
When I let my feelings down
Darling, won't you take me home?
Yeah, won't you take me
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

Where will I go, who will I be?
And all the shit I've thrown lands on me.
And I used to fear the words of the priest,
'til I found out he's just a man like me.
And all the wrongs I've done,
they got me on the run,
and it's what you do,
that comes back to you.
Back to you.
What will I find, who will I meet?
When those that I hate get their hands on me.
Is there a line that I have crossed?
All that I've gained and all that I've lost.
And all the wrongs I've done,
they got me on the run,
and it's what you do,
that comes back to you.
Where will I go, who will I be?
And all the shit I've thrown lands on me.
And I used to fear the words of the priest,

" The Giver" by Lois Lowry -- Chapter Nineteen
"The Giver" by Lois Lowry -- Chapter Nineteen
JONAS GLANCED AT the clock. There was so much work to be done, always, that he and The Giver seldom simply
sat and talked, the way they just had.
"I'm sorry that I wasted so much time with my question," Jonas said. "I was only asking about release because my
father is releasing a newchild today. A twin. He has to select one and release the other one. They do it by weight." Jonas
glanced at the clock. "Actually, I suppose he's already finished. I think it was this morning."
The Giver's face took on a solemn look. "I wish they wouldn't do that," he said quietly, almost to himself.
"Well, they can't have two identical people around! Think how confusing it would be!" Jonas chuckled.
"I wish I could watch," he added, as an afterthought. He liked the thought of seeing his father perform the ceremony,
and making the little twin clean and comfy. His father was such a gentle man.
"You can watch," The Giver said.
"No," Jonas told him. "They never let children watch. It's very private."
"Jonas," The Giver told him, "I know that you read your training instructions very carefully. Don't you remember
that you are allowed to ask anyone anything?"
Jonas nodded. "Yes, but--"
"Jonas, when you and I have finished our time together, you will be the new Receiver. You can read the books; you'll
have the memories. You have access to everything. It's part of your training. If you want to watch a release, you have
simply to ask."
Jonas shrugged. "Well, maybe I will, then. But it's too late for this one. I'm sure it was this morning."
The Giver told him, then, something he had not known. "All private ceremonies are recorded. They're in the Hall
of Closed Records. Do you want to see this morning's release?"
Jonas hesitated. He was afraid that his father wouldn't like it, if he watched something so private.
"I think you should," The Giver told him firmly.
"All right, then," Jonas said. "Tell me how."
The Giver rose from his chair, went to the speaker on the wall, and clicked the switch from OFF to ON.
The voice spoke immediately. "Yes, Receiver. How may I help you?"
"I would like to see this morning's release of the twin."
"One moment, Receiver. Thank you for your instructions."
Jonas watched the video screen above the row of switches. It's blank face began to flicker with zig-zag
lines; then some numbers appeared, followed by the date and time. He was astonished and delighted that this
was available to him, and surprised that he had not known.
Suddenly he could see a small windowless room, empty except for a bed, a table with some equipment on it--Jonas
recognized a scale; he had seen them before, when he'd been doing volunteer hours at the Nurturing Center--and
a cupboard. He could see pale carpeting on the floor.
"It's just an ordinary room," he commented. "I thought maybe they'd have it in the Auditorium, so that everybody
could come. All the Old go to Ceremonies of Release. But I suppose that when it's just a newborn, they don't--"
"Shhh," The Giver said, his eyes on the screen.
Jonas's father wearing his nurturing uniform, entered the room, cradling a tiny newchild wrapped in a soft blanket
in his arms. A uniformed woman followed through the door, carrying a second newchild wrapped in a similar blanket.
"That's my father." Jonas found himself whispering, as if he might wake the little ones if he spoke aloud. "And the
other Nurturer is his assistant. She's still in training, but she'll be finished soon."
The two Nurturers unwrapped the blankets and laid the identical newborns on the bed. They were naked. Jonas
could see that they were males.
He watched, fascinated, as his father gently lifted one and then the other to the scale and weighed them.
He heard his father laugh. "Good," his father said to the woman. "I thought for a moment that they might both be
exactly the same. THEN we'd have a problem. But this one," he handed one, after rewrapping it, to his assistant, "is six
pounds even. So you can clean him up ad dress him and take him over to the Center."
The woman took the newchild and left through the door she had entered.
Jonas watched as his father bent over the squirming newchild on the bed. "And you, little guy, you're only five pound
ten ounces. A shrimp!"
"That's the special voice he uses with Gabriel," Jonas remarked, smiling.
"Watch," The Giver said.
"Now he cleans him up and makes him comfy," Jonas told him, "He told me."
"Be quiet, Jonas," The Giver commanded in a strange voice. "Watch."
Obediently Jonas concentrated on the screen, waiting for what would happen next. He was especially curious about
the ceremony part.
His father turned and opened the cupboard. He took out a syringe and a small bottle. Very carefully he inserted the
needle into the bottle and began to fill the syringe with a clear liquid.
Jonas winced sympathetically. He had forgotten that newchildren had to get shots. He hated shots himself, though
he knew that they were necessary.
To his surprise, his father began very carefully to direct the needle into the top of the newchild's forehead, puncturing
the place where the fragile skin pulsed. The newborn squirmed, and wailed faintly.
"Why's he---"
"Shhh," The Giver said sharply.
His father was talking, and Jonas realized that he was hearing the answer to the question he had started to ask. Still
in the special voice, his father was saying, "I know, I know, It hurts, little guy. But I have to use a vein, and the veins
in your arms are still too teeny-weeny."
He pushed the plunger very slowly, injecting the liquid into the scalp vein until the syringe was empty.
"All done. That wasn't so bad, was it?" Jonas heard his father say cheerfully. He turned aside and dropped the
syringe into a waste receptacle.
Now he cleans him up and makes him comfy, Jonas said to himself, aware that The Giver didn't want to talk during
the little ceremony.
As he continued to watch, the newchild, no longer crying, moved his arms and legs in a jerking motion. Then he went
limp. His head fell to the side, his eyes half open. Then he was still.
With an odd, shocked feeling, Jonas recognized the gestures and posture and expression. They were familiar. He had
seen them before. But he couldn't remember where.
Jonas stared at the screen, waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. The little twin lay motionless. His
father was putting things away. Folding the blanket. Closing the cupboard.
Once again, as he had on the playing field, he felt the choking sensation. Once again he saw the face of the light-haired,
bloodied soldier as life left his eyes. The memory came back.
He killed it! My father killed it! Jonas said to himself, stunned at what he was realizing. He continued to
stare at the screen numbly.
His father tidied the room. Then he picked up a small carton that lay waiting on the floor, set it on the bed, and lifted
the limp body into it. He placed the lid on tightly.
He picked up the carton and carried it to the other side of the room. He opened a small door in the wall; Jonas could
see darkness behind the door. It seemed to be the same sort of chute into which trash was deposited at school.
His father loaded the carton contained the body into the chute and gave it a shove.
"Bye-bye, little guy," Jonas heard his father say before he left the room. Then the screen went blank.
The Giver turned to him. Quite calmly, he related, "When the Speaker notified me that Rosemary had applied for release,
they turned on the tape to show me the process. There she was--my last glimpse of that beautiful child--waiting. They
brought in the syringe and asked her to roll up her sleeve.
"You suggested, Jonas, that perhaps she wasn't brave enough? I don't know about bravery: what it is, what it means.
I do know that I sat here numb with horror. Wretched with helplessness. And I listened as Rosemary told them that
she would prefer to inject herself.
"Then she did so. I didn't watch. I looked away."
The Giver turned to him. "Well, there you are, Jonas. You were wondering about release," he said in a bitter voice.
Jonas felt a ripping sensation inside himself, the feeling of terrible pain clawing its way forward to emerge in a cry.

Greta Van Fleet - Tear It Down
Greta Van Fleet - Tear It Down
Here on the peak and I'm under
The clash of the lightning and thunder
What have we done, what have we done now?
I'm searching for answers in the shifting clouds
What will we do when it gets too loud
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it down
T-t-t tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it all down, yeah, yeah
I'm here on the streets and I hunger
We're not getting wiser nor younger
What have we done, what have we done now?
I'm searching for something in the shifting crowd
What will we do when it gets too loud
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
We've got to tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it down
T-t-t tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it all down, yeah, yeah
When we build it up, we tear it down
And we tear it down no doubt
Build it up, then you tear it down
T-t-t tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it all down, yeah, yeah
Build it up, then you tear it down
T-t-t tear it down
Build it up, then you tear it down, yeah
Samantha Ebert ft. Seph Schlueter - Flowers
Samantha Ebert ft. Seph Schlueter - Flowers
Well blue skies and hillsides
Feel so far away
And I wrote in my notebook
That I've seen better days
Than the ones as of late
I can't bear the weight
The rain won't stop pouring
Out my window pane
And I haven't left my bedroom
In 76 days
I wish something would change
Cause I'm losing faith
Chorus
So I brought it up in a desperate prayer
Lord why are you keeping me here
Then He said to me
Child I'm planting seeds
I'm a good God and I have a good plan
So trust that I'm holding a watering can
And someday you'll see
That flowers grow in the valley
Verse
So whatever the reason
I'm barely getting by
I'll trust it's a season
Knowing that you're by my side
Every step of the way
And I'll be okay
Chorus
Cause I brought it up in a desperate prayer
Lord why are you keeping me here
Then He said to me
Child I'm planting seeds
I'm a good God and I have a good plan
So trust that I'm holding a watering can
And someday you'll see
That flowers grow in the valley
Verse
When I'm on the mountain and looking down below
I'll see a valley of flowers that needed time to grow
And I'll thank you for the rain
The hurt and days of pain
Chorus
And I'll bring it up in a grateful prayer
Thank you Jesus for keeping me there
You know just what I need
And you've planted seeds
Cause you're a good God with a real good plan
And you hold my world and a watering can
So I can have peace
Cause flowers grow in the valley

Jake Segura - Just Me
[Verse 1]
Feels like I'm one in a million
In the worst of ways
No one seems to stress all the details
Near as much as me
[Pre-Chorus]
I can't let, I can't let, can't let this go
I constantly worry, my brain's a black hole
What feels small to you is like the end of the world
My mind's a dark place, please, don't leave me alone
('Cause I need to know)
[Chorus]
Is anybody else awake
Obsessing over past mistakes
Rewinding reasons you're not enough
And getting so close to giving up?
Is anybody this insane
Unable to turn off your brain
Too paranoid to fall asleep
Or is it just me, or is it just me?
[Verse 2]
Feels like I'm in love with my vices
Easily seduced
Selfish, no one runs back to relapse
Quickly as I do
[Pre-Chorus]
Forgiveness and trust always end up abused
I say that I'll change and then find an excuse
Complain I can't breathe and then tighten the noose
I hate myself more I compare me to you
So tell me the truth
[Chorus]
Is anybody else awake
Obsessing over past mistakes
Rewinding reasons you're not enough
And getting so close to giving up?
Is anybody this insane
Unable to turn off your brain
Too paranoid to fall asleep
Or is it just me, or is it just me?
[Bridge]
Can't be me, not like this
Humiliated by my differences
No relief, not this sick
When everybody else has so much left to fix
[Chorus]
Is anybody else awake
Trying not to think about the easy way
Rewinding reasons you're not enough
And getting so close to giving up?
Is anybody this insane
Unable to turn off your brain
Too paranoid to fall asleep
Or is it just me, or is it just me?
[Outro]
(Or is it just me?) Or is it just me?
(Or is it just me?) Or is it just me?
Europe and Jay Buchanan - Carry on My Wayward Son (Kansas)
Europe and Jay Buchanan - Carry on My Wayward Son
[Intro]
Carry on, my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 1]
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high
Though my eyes could see, I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think, I still was a madman
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say
[Chorus]
Carry on, my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
[Verse 2]
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say
[Chorus]
Carry on, my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more (No)
[Guitar Solo]
[Bridge]
(Carry on) You will always remember
(Carry on) Nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
Surely Heaven waits for you
[Chorus]
Carry on, my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
(Don't you cry) Don't you cry no more
[Outro]
No more
WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS by Patrick Chalfant Pgs. 229-230
WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS by Patrick Chalfant Pgs. 229-230
Most of my afternoon was spent in winter slumber. When I awoke I could hardly move. Due to the soreness caused by
the suicide sled ride that morning. I spent some time in the tub, relaxing in a hot bath. Outside, the snow was falling in record
amounts. I returned to my room and was getting dressed when I heard Mom and Dad talking in the kitchen.
"I'll be back tomorrow," Dad's voice said.
"I'm not so sure you should be going. Those roads are slick," Mom responded.
"Quit worrying, I'll be fine."
"I just don't know why you're doing this now. Can't you wait until the weather breaks?"
"We don't have much time. The sale will be here before we know it. Every second I don't get something done is a second that's
been wasted."
"But those roads are dangerous. You could get killed out there! This place isn't worth that." Mom's voice broke. "It's only land;
it's only a house! We can rebuild, we've done it before," Mom cried and then paused. "Maybe the boys are right."
"Right about what?"
"Maybe we ought to declare bankruptcy and put an end to all this madness."
"No way am I gonna do that."
"But why?"
" 'Cause I'd never live it down, that's why."
"Live it down to who? The people in town?" Mom said with anger. "To hell with them! I don't care what they think. We can
survive their talk."
"Maybe you can, but they know me. They've known me their whole lives. I'd never live it down."
"So what? We'll move."
"That's not very fair to the boys. They don't need to change schools again."
"I wish you could listen to how ridiculous you sound. Bankruptcy isn't such a bad thing. Times have changed."
"Yeah, but I haven't," Dad said on his way out the door.
"Please be careful, dear," Mom called out from inside the house.
"I will. Don't worry about me," his fading voice said in the snow.
Mom closed the door and walked back to the kitchen. As was her tendency after a confrontation, she returned to her chair
and continued crying. I knew that I shouldn't bother her now, but I had to have more information. Since Devin was asleep, she
might just talk. In the past, Mom often censored delicate information from Devin because she didn't know if he was old enough
to handle it. Of course he was old enough now, but she still thought of him as the baby of the family. Actually, I think she still
thought of me as a child, also. Nonetheless, this was an opportune moment, and I had to act, so I quickly dressed myself and walked to the kitchen.
As was expected, I found Mom sitting down with her head in her hands, crying softly.
"You alright?"
"No," she whispered.
"Anything I can do to help?"
"No," she said while raising her head and wiping the tears from her eyes.

A BREACH OF PROMISE by Anne Perry Pgs. 308-09
A BREACH OF PROMISE by Anne Perry Pgs. 308-09
"Was there any evidence of Miss Melville's having eaten or drunk anything since returning home that evening?" the coroner asked.
"We saw nothing, sir," the policeman replied unhappily. "It seemed the young lady had no resident servant. There was nothing
out of place. No food had been prepared and there was no crockery or glasses showing as been used."
"Did you search for any container for pills or powders, Sergeant?" the coroner pressed.
"Yes sir, an' we found nothing except a paper for a headache powder screwed up in the wastepaper basket in the bedroom.
We looked very careful, sir. Fair turned the place inside out."
"I see. Thank you. You also looked for bottles, I presume? Even clean ones which might have been used and then washed out?"
"Yes sir. No empty packets, bottles, vials, papers, nothing. And we took away and had tested what was still in use. All harmless
domestic stuff as you'd find in most people's homes."
"Very diligent. Have you any idea where Miss Melville obtained the poison which killed her, or where she administered it to herself?"
"No, sir, we have not."
"Thank you. That is all. You may step down."
Rathbone looked around again as the sergeant left and the police surgeon was called. Monk sat lost in gloom. He looked about
as miserable and angry as Rathbone felt. There was a certain companionship in their silence. Neither of them had the slightest desire to try to express his thoughts in words. It was a vague comfort for Rathbone to know that he was not alone in his struggle to find meaning in this, in his profound unhappiness and sense of having been helpless and inadequate all the way along.
The police surgeon gave evidence as to his surprise at discovering the deceased was a woman and not a man as she had at first
appeared. But she was in every physical way quite normal--indeed, dressed appropriately she would have been a handsome woman, even beautiful, in her own way. He said it quietly and with great sadness.
There was a hush in the room as he spoke. Someone coughed. Someone else stifled a nervous giggle and was instantly glared at. People seemed to be both embarrassed and moved by a deep sense of loss and the finality of death.
"And the cause of Miss Melville's death?" the coroner asked.
"Belladonna poisoning, sir," the surgeon answered without hesitation.
"Can you be certain of that?"
"Absolutely. I found traces of belladonna in the deceased's internal organs. And on examination of the body, every sign led me
to consider it as a probable cause of death."

Jab to the body
Gotta set up your punches
Or he’s gonna eat your lunch, son
Why why did you die young?
Why you, damn you
Hell my head's still rung
Shot to the body
Right to the body
Ribs left broken
Too much left unspoken
I stood frozen
Didn't getta say goodbye like ya should
Hey nothing about ya gone is any good
Where are you, tell me where are you?
I still need you in my corner, man
Tell me to stop dropping my right hand
Bob n' weave, duck don’t run
When that bell rings son a rumble’s begun
No matter what...
The fight has to go on as planned
But I still need you
I still need you in my corner, man
Breathe in
Sit down right here
There's no time for no tears
It's been a long damn year
I know you're hurtin’
The pain of a certain one
If you step through the ropes
Know you've already won
Them shoulders weigh a ton
So try to catch your breath while you can
‘Cause there's another round around the corner, man
I still need you in my corner, man

EAT PRAY LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert -- Chapter 57
EAT PRAY LOVE by Elizabeth Gilbert -- Chapter 57
The search for God is a reversal of the normal, mundane worldly order. In the search for God, you revert from what attracts
you and swim toward that which is difficult. You abandon your comforting and familiar habits with the hope (the mere hope!) that
something greater will be offered you in return for what you've given up. Every religion in the world operates on the same common
understandings of what it means to be a good disciple--get up early and pray to your God, hone your virtues, be a good neighbor,
respect yourself and others, master your cravings. We all agree that it would be easier to sleep in, and many of us do, but for
millennia there have been others who choose instead to get up before the sun and wash their faces and go to their prayers. And
then fiercely try to hold on to their devotional convictions throughout the lunacy of another day.
The devout of this world perform their rituals without guarantee that anything good will ever come of it. Of course there are
plenty of scriptures and plenty of priests who make plenty of promises as to what your good works will yield (or threats as to the
punishments awaiting you if you lapse), but to even believe all this is an act of faith, because nobody amongst us is shown the endgame. Devotion is diligence without assurance. Faith is a way of saying, "Yes, I pre-accept the terms of the universe and I embrace in advance what I am presently incapable of understanding." There's a reason we refer to "leaps of faith" --because the decision to consent to any notion of divinity is a mighty jump from the rational over to the unknowable, and I don't care how diligently scholars of every religion will try to sit you down with their stacks of books and prove to you through scripture that their faith is indeed rational; it isn't. If faith were rational, it wouldn't be--by definition--faith. Faith is belief in what you cannot see or prove or touch. Faith is walking face-first and full-speed into the dark. If we truly knew all the answers in advance as to the meaning of life and the nature of God and the destiny of our souls, our belief would not be a leap of faith and it would not be a courageous act of humanity; it would just be . . . a prudent insurance policy.
I'm not interested in the insurance industry. I'm tired of being a skeptic, I'm irritated by spiritual prudence and I feel bored and
parched by empirical debate. I don't want to hear it anymore. I couldn't care less about evidence and proof and assurances. I just
want God. I want God inside me. I want God to play in my bloodstream the way sunlight amuses itself on water.

Lord Huron - The Stranger -- 10/19/2011 - The Living Room, New York, NY
Lord Huron - The Stranger
I can't trust anyone or anything these days
If you are who you say you are, then show your face
Came out of the ocean like you came out of a dream
Your voice it sounds familiar, but you are not what you seem
All words of comfort can not take away my doubt
I've decided if it kills me, I'll find out what you're about
I can't trust anyone or anything these days
But I know what you want and why
Of all the strangers, you're the strangest that I've seen
I'm not afraid to die
I can't trust anyone or anything these days
You are not the one you say you are
You are not the one you say you are
I can't trust anyone or anything these days
If you are who you say you are, then show me your face
Know enough to say you are not what you claim to be
I've kept close watch upon you and I don't like what I see
Can't escape the feeling that you'll get me in the night
I'll sleep with one eye open, and I'm not afraid to fight
I can't trust anyone or anything these days
But I know what you want and why
Of all the strangers, you're the strangest that I've seen

You are not the one you say you are

War on Drugs - Thinking of a Place (LIVE Oct 15, 2022)
War on Drugs - Thinking of a Place
It was back in Little Bend that I saw you
Light was changing on the water
Where birds above had flown
There was pain in your eyes
So you vanished in the night
Missouri River in the distance
So I lied upon the lawn
I remember walking against the darkness of the beach
Love is like a ghost in the distance, out of reach
Travel through the night 'cause there is no fear
Alone but right behind, until I watched you disappear
I'm moving through the dark
Of a long black night
Just moving with the moon
And the light it shines
And I'm thinking of a place
And it feels so very real
Just moving through the dark
Once I had a dream
I was falling from the sky
Coming down like running water
Passing by myself in light
In the morning, I would wake
To the sound of someone's voice
Like little whispers through the silence
I'm moving through the dark
Of a long black night
I'm looking at the moon
And the light it shines
But I'm thinking of a place
And it feels so very real
Oh, sufferer of love
Come and take my hand, babe
There's a turn in the road that we've been taking
Let it set you free
'Cause there's a rhythm in the way that we've been moving
Yeah, there's a darkness over there, but we ain't going
See it through my eyes
Walk me to the water
Hold my hand as something turns to me
Love me every night
Drown me in the water
Hold my hand, is something turning me?
See it through my eyes
Love me like no other
And hold my hand as something turns to me
And turns me into you
Lead me through tonight
Pull me from the water
Hold my hand as something turns to me
Turns me into you
Just see it through my eyes
Love me like no other
Hold my hand as something turns to me
Turns me into you
Turning me into you

Sonic Revolt - Holiday (Green Day cover)
Sonic Revolt - Holiday by Green Day
Say hey!
Cha!
Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (hey!)
The shame, the ones who died without a name
Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today, and
Oh I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives (whoa, oh, whoa, oh)
On holiday!
Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protester has crossed the line (hey!)
To find the money's on the other side
Can I get another amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument
Oh I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives (whoa, oh, whoa, oh)
On holiday!
Hey!
Three, four!
The representative from California has the floor
"Sieg Heil" to the president Gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
"Bang! Bang!" goes the broken glass, and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Try to fight fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just 'cause (hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!)
Just 'cause, because we're outlaws, yeah (hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!)
Oh I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives (whoa, oh, whoa, oh)
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives (whoa, oh, whoa, oh)
This is our lives on holiday!
Mick Iredale - The Impossible Dream (cover)
Mick Iredale - The Impossible Dream
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
And to run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
And to love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march, march into Hell
For that heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable, the unreachable, the unreachable star
And I always dream the impossible dream
Yes, when I'll reach the unreachable star
"The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls pg. 35 (The Joshua Tree)
"The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls pg. 35
AFTER WE PULLED UP stakes in San Francisco, we headed for the Mojave Desert. Near the Eagle Mountains,
Mom made Dad stop the car. She'd seen a tree on the side of the road that had caught her fancy.
It wasn't just any tree. It was an ancient Joshua tree. It stood in a crease of land where the desert ended
and the mountain began, forming a wind tunnel. From the time the Joshua tree was a tiny sapling, it had been
so beaten down by the whipping wind that, rather than trying to grow skyward, it had grown in the direction
that the wind pushed it. It existed now in a permanent state of windblownness, leaning over so far that it seemed
ready to topple, although, in fact, its roots held it firmly in place.
I thought the Joshua tree was ugly. It looked scraggly and freakish, permanently stuck in its twisted, tortured
position, and it made me think of how some adults tell you not to make weird faces because your features could freeze.
Mom, however, thought it was one of the most beautiful trees she had ever seen. She told us she had to paint it.
While she was setting out her easel, Dad drove up the road to see what was ahead. He found a scattering of parched
little houses, trailers settling into the sand, and shacks with rusty tin roofs. It was called Midland. One of the little
houses had a for-rent sign. "What the hell," Dad said, "this place is as good as any other."
"The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls pg. 35-37 (That Old Demon)
"The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls pg. 35-37
The house we rented had been built by a mining company. It was white, with two rooms and a swaybacked roof.
There were no trees, and the desert sand ran right up to the back door. At night you could hear coyotes howling.
When we first got to Midland, those coyotes kept me awake, and as I lay in bed, I'd hear other sounds--Gila
monsters rustling in the underbrush, moths knocking against the screens, and the creosote cracking in the wind.
One night when the lights were out and I could see a sliver of moon through the window, I heard a slithering noise
on the floor.
"I think there's something under our bed," I said to Lori.
"It's merely a figment of your overly active imagination," Lori said. She talked like a grown-up when she was annoyed.
I tried to be brave, but I had heard something. In the moonlight, I thought I saw it move.
"Something's there," I whispered.
"Go to sleep," Lori said.
Holding my pillow over my head for protection, I ran into the living room, where Dad was reading. "What's up,
Mountain Goat?" he asked. He called me that because I never fell down when we were climbing mountains--sure-footed
as a mountain goat, he'd always say.
"Nothing, probably," I said. "I just think maybe I saw something in the bedroom." Dad raised his eyebrows. "But it was
probably just a figment of my overly active imagination."
"Did you get a good look at it?" he asked.
"Not really."
"You must have seen it. Was it a big old hairy sonofabitch with the damnedest-looking teeth and claws?"
"Yes! Yes! You've seen it, too?"
"Better believe I have. It's that old ornery bastard Demon."
Dad said he had been chasing Demon for years. By now, Dad said, that old Demon had figured out that it had better
not mess with Rex Walls. But if that sneaky son of a gun thought it was going to terrorize Rex Wall's little girl, it had by
God got another think coming. "Go fetch my hunting knife," Dad said.
I got Dad his knife with the carved bone handle and the blade of blue German steel, and he gave me a pipe wrench,
and we went looking for Demon. We looked under my bed, where I had seen it, but it was gone. We looked all around
the house--under the table, in the dark corners of the closets, in the toolbox, even outside in the trash cans.
"C'mere, you sorry-ass old Demon!" Dad called out in the desert night, "Come out and show your butt-ugly face, you
yellow-bellied monster!"
"Yeah, c'mon, you old mean Demon!" I said, waving the pipe wrench in the air. "We're not scared of you!"
There was only the sound of the coyotes in the distance. "This is just like that chickenshit Demon," Dad said. He sat
down on the front step and lit up a cigarette, then told me a story about the time Demon was terrorizing an entire town, and
Dad fought it off in hand-to-hand combat, biting its ears and sticking his fingers in its eyes. Old Demon was terrified because
that was the first time it had met anyone who wasn't afraid of it. "Damned old Demon didn't know what to think," Dad said
shaking his head with a chuckle. That was the thing to remember about all monsters, Dad said: they love to frighten people,
but the minute you stare them down, they turn tail and run. "All you have to do, Mountain Goat, is show old Demon
that you're not afraid."

James Blunt - Weight Of It All
James Blunt - Weight Of It All
Deep in the eyes is the first place that you'll see it
Back of my mind I can't escape the ghosts
And it doesn't back off till every last thought's been dismantled
Even the smallest piece is more than I can handle
I'm not looking for a bridge to jump from
I'm just looking for a hand to hold
Oh, I'm paralyzed by my body keeping score
Woah, I'm losing my grip, hard to admit
I need somebody to call
Hanging onto a house of cards ready to fall
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all
There's a spirit that sings in the fire, I can hear it when the light burns low
And somewhere in this raging heart, these are the things I know
I'd like to be somebody I'm not, a casualty of things that I've lost
It's what happens when the voice is disconnected from the soul
I'm not looking for a bridge to jump from
I'm just looking for a hand to hold
Oh, I'm paralyzed by my body keeping score
Woah, I'm losing my grip, hard to admit
I need somebody to call
Hanging onto a house of cards ready to fall
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all
I'll remind myself one day
This will all be washed away
And I know right now, that there's no way out
I'm just caught in the pouring rain
I'm not looking for a bridge to jump from
I'm just looking for a hand to hold
Oh, I'm paralyzed by my body keeping score
Woah, I'm losing my grip, hard to admit
I need somebody to call
Hanging onto a house of cards ready to fall
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all
Under the weight of it all

Cage The Elephant - Dying in Reverse
Cage The Elephant - Dying in Reverse
[Verse 1]
I see the colors bleed from my mind
Knees go weak
Shivers of my spine
Go on and clip my wings
While in mid air
I won't be holdin' my breath
You know that time don't care
It's not a figure of speech
'Cause on a drop of a dime
Boy, you're better believe
It's just a matter of time
[Chorus]
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
I feel like I'm dying (Oh yeah)
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
So why are you crying? (Oh yeah)
[Verse 2]
I take that ripped parachute and I'm cutting it loose
I finally opened my eyes
I don't need no more proof
I wanna taste your disaster on the tip of my tongue
To the back of my mind
Where the damage was done
Sometimes I wish that I could blow my mind right out of my head
My ride out of here
[Chorus]
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
I feel like I'm dying (Oh yeah)
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
So why are you crying? (Oh yeah)
[Bridge]
Dive into this ceiling, more than just a feeling
Back to the beginning of love
Pushing through the mirror
I can see it clearer
There's no difference between us
[Chorus]
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
I feel like I'm dying (Oh yeah)
I feel like I'm dying in reverse
So why are you crying? (Oh yeah)
[Outro]
Cryin' like a baby, I ain't got no past
Keep my eyes ahead and no I won't look back
Dying just to live I'm gonna make it last
I don't even care if I make it back
Cryin' like a baby, I ain't got no past
Keep my eyes ahead and no I won't look back
Dying just to live I'm gonna make it last
I don't even care if I make it back

Johnny Blue Skies - "Don't Let Go" ( Live @ Moody Center, Austin, Texas 9-4-26)
Johnny Blue Skies - "Don't Let Go"
[Verse 1]
Baby, we've been together for a long, long time
I've been meaning to tell you that you're still all mine
I swear to god time slows down
Every time you walk in the room
For a while it felt like we were dying
Now we're starting to bloom
[Chorus]
I keep trying to tell you
You've got a hold on me
Do you wanna see me crawl across the floor, down on my knees
I know you're never that far away
But sometimes I feel so low
Baby, hold on
Don't let go
[Verse 2]
Ain't no way around it, we're getting older
And the world outside these walls is gеtting colder
Every night I lay down next to you, I start to smouldеr
I fall apart, surrender to your love
[Chorus]
I keep trying to tell you
You've got a hold on me
Do you wanna see me crawl across the floor, down on my knees
Know you're never that far away
But sometimes I feel so low
Baby, hold on
Don't let go
[Instrumental break]
[Verse 3]

I chose this life and now it’s mine,
but it’s starting to feel restless.
I wander, travel, journey on,
trying to find myself a home,

I don’t know.
This life on the road
Has taken its toll
And I’ve given it all
The faces all change
The feelings the same
No place to remain
Cause no matter how far
I've drifted apart
There's no home in my heart
Where do I belong,
I'm here then I'm gone
I keep moving on

Steven Wilson - Requiem for a Village (The Village Hall Sessions)
Steven Wilson - Requiem for a Village
from Genius lyrics
[Intro]
Born never asked
Sun cuts through the fog, radiates in requiem
Tending the graves, six feet under with no mark except [?]
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 1]
Weekend love, kissing down by the cemetery
They rise and they dance with supremacy
They scream at the traffic on the motorway
Folklore making way for what's necessary (Yeah)
[Chorus]
'Tis as if you dress like you got some authority
I don't think you understand the severity
In the club where you lost your virginity
Now it's all just a question of paternity
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 2]
They got kids vaping down by the nursery
Parents drown in helplessness and entropy
In the woods, a man from the mental institution
Making movies for independent distribution
[Verse 3]
A [?] standing at the edge of the seventies
Better people who can do just as they please
Behind the curtains [?] their devices
Swear to secrecy, the consequences of their surprises
[Chorus]
'Tis as if you dress like you got some authority
I don't think you understand the severity
In the club where you lost your virginity
Now it's all just a question of paternity
[Bridge]
Living in the country, we're all f---ed up
All dressed up like monkeys, we breed like dogs
We live in the past, we don't advance
Won't ever rest, so come with us
Living in the country, we're all f---ed up
All dressed up like monkeys, we breed like dogs
We live in the past, we don't advance
Won't ever rest, so come with us
[Guitar Solo]
[Outro]
[?]
Rusty gateways creak reserving [?]
[?]
New gods growing from the soil will last eternity

J8KE (12) - Shine on You Crazy Diamond (guitar cover Pink Floyd) Santa Monica Beach
J8KE (12) - Shine on You Crazy Diamond
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph,
sail on the steel breeze.
Come on you boy child, you winner and loser,
come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine
Kings of Leon - My Whole World
Kings of Leon - My Whole World
[Verse 1]
Twenty-nine days 'til our ship comes in
We’ll be together again
They say, "Bubba, how you've been?
How's your mom and them?"
We’ll go throw the ball around
Try not to let it hit the ground
While the kids make a beautiful sound
Cut loose, away they bound
[Chorus]
As the wind blows there goes
My whole world
Like a ray of sunshine
I'm grateful today for
My whole world
That sweet peace of mind
[Verse 2]
Underneath the pin oak tree
Pass family recipes
They'll bring you to your knees
Make room for seconds, please
All the pеanutbutter pie
We talk about how timе flies
And how all the good ones die
And all those tears we cry
[Chorus]
As the wind blows there goes
My whole world
Like a ray of sunshine
I'm grateful today for
My whole world
That sweet peace of mind
[Post-Chorus]
Woo-hoo, ooh
Woo-hoo, woo-hoo, ooh
[Verse 3]
Twenty-nine days 'til our ship comes in
We'll be together again
They'll say, "Bubba, how you've been?
How’s your mom and them?"
We’ll go throw the ball around
Try not to let it hit the ground
While the babies make beautiful sounds
Cut loose, away they bound
[Chorus]
As the wind blows there goes
My whole world
Like a ray of sunshine
I'm grateful today for
My whole world
That sweet peace of mind
[Outro]
I’m grateful, he's there for
My whole world

The All-American Rejects - I've Been Everywhere (Johnny Cash)
The All-American Rejects - I've Been Everywhere
I was totin’ my pack along a dusty desert open road
When along came a semi with a high canvas covered load
If you’re going to get going well son with me you can ride
And so I climbed into the cab and I settled down inside
He asked me if I’d seen a road with so much dust and sand and I said listen
I’ve traveled every road in this here land
I’ve been everywhere, man
I’ve been everywhere, man
Crossed the deserts bare, man
I’ve breathed the mountain air, man
Travel I’ve had my share, man
I’ve been everywhere
I’ve been to
Boston, Houston, Cleveland, Minnesota
Buffalo, Toronto, Chi-town, Arizona
Tampa, Tennessee, Miami, San Francisco
Detroit, Dallas, Denver Colorado
New York, NOLA, D.C., Atlanta
Las Vegas, L.A. , Kansas City, Philadelphia
I’ve been to
London, Athens, Berlin, Tokyo
Shanghai, Dubai, Mumbai, Mexico
Sydney, Italy, Philippines, Monaco
Africa, Bolivia, Cuba, Cairo
Argentina, Seoul, Paris France, Moscow
Luxembourg, Jo-burg, Saint Petersburg, and Rio
The War on Drugs - Who's That
Would it be so wrong to be on the take?
I’ve been blowing all the ducks away
Just another weekday
Wouldn’t be so bad if you’d just engage
And kept running from a memory
Of living through the same thing
Like Orion when I wake up in the morn’
There’s a fire burning
just there out of reach
I keep moving through the revolving doors
It’s only my depression, baby
Where do I belong?
Will it change with time?
You’ve been running down a different road
And I keep moving to the inside
But now I found my fortune
I know she can’t relate
We keep time on a different plane
Where everything’s always changing
Did I blow it?
Did it just explode?
There’s a lion hanging from my teeth
I can taste it but I can’t get close
It’s only my depression, baby
There’s a whole world running away from me
There’s a lion hangin' on my neck
I can tame it
But he might break free
Who’s that?
It’s only my depression, baby

The Rasmus - Forever Young
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever young
Let's dance in style, let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait, we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad man
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever, and ever
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever young
Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later, they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young?
So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
We'll let them come true
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever, and ever
Forever young, I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever?
Forever young
Jesse Welles - The Nerd Reich (live at The Gorge)
lyrics from transcript and on screen:
I was standing on a ledge contemplating the ocean in a boat in the Strait of Hormuz. If they ain't got a mission and they still ain't winning, can't you at least get the boys some food?
When they nuke Iran and Jesus don't come back and your son's still gay and there's no cheap
gas. When the vengeance of nations finally comes to port, will you be bitching about men playing
women's sports?
I get weary. I get nervous. They hired a clown. We get the whole damn
circus. Lord, I get tired. I feel uptight. Turn your back for a second.
It's the Nerd Reich. On day 184 of a three day war, I drove my truck to Lake America.
I was thinking about drowning.
When my youth pastor found me, slapped a wedding ring on my thumb. I cried out to Jesus.
I cried out to mom. I got Peter Thiel. He listens closer than God. I said, "Now, what's with these cameras
pointing at me?" He said, "Don't do nothing wrong. There won't be nothing to see." Gee, I get weary. They can hear.
This one goes out to my buddies up at Palantir. I said, "Now, since you're already listening, I must ask, what's the low down
on this fella ya'll call JD Vance?" He said, "He's a carbon life form wearing khaki pants." You know, we play the song and buddy, he does the dance. He did some Catholic gymnastics,
washed his mouth out with soap, but even God and the king and two popes said nope. He gets weary, he
gets hit, but it's all bound to happen when you drag Appalachia through shit.
How fast do I got to jog to beat a robot dog? I know it's smarter than the guy with the leash.
Give me a 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue where the law can't lay a hand on me.
Oh, what war is it? What wife is it for GI joke? My favorite Fox and Friend, Captain Testosterone.
I heard that Pete wants in office, but he lost his war. I'd laugh if I hadn't seen the show before.
I get weary. I get nervous. You hire a clown. You get the whole damn circus. Lord.
I get tired. I feel uptight.
Turn your back for a minute. It's the Nerd Reich.

I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - Leave Me Alone (Live On Jimmy Kimmel Live! / 2021)
I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME - Leave Me Alone
Big shot, so what? Do you wanna pretend?
You took the money, but the money couldn't buy a friend
Now I want you to leave me alone
They say the devil that you know is better than the devil that you don't
Oh, you're a big shot here but nobody else knows
Now I want you to leave me alone
Blind spot, take your best shot, lucky me
Go fly a kite until you're tangled in the hanging tree
Now I want you to leave me alone
They say the devil that you know is better than the devil that you don't
Oh, you're a big shot here but nobody else knows
Now I want you to leave me alone
Four in the morning but we're having such a lovely time
Mad as a hatter with a dagger and a dollar sign
Aristocrat, tip your hat and break your mother's heart
And when the sun comes up you'll find a brand new god
(Hey, come on)
(A brand new god)
(Oh, oh)
Now I want you to leave me alone
They say the devil that you know is better than the devil that you don't
Oh, you're a big shot here but nobody else knows
Now I want you to leave me alone

M83 - My Tears Are Becoming A Sea
[Verse]
I'm slowly drifting to
You
The stars and the planets
Are calling me
A billion years away from you
I'm on my way
I'm on...

Pray Path - How Spiritually Mature Christians Forgive Without Rebuilding the Relationship
Forgiveness does not always mean rebuilding the relationship. 🙏🏻 Sometimes spiritual maturity means releasing bitterness while still keeping healthy boundaries.
In this video, we explore how spiritually mature Christians forgive people who hurt them without automatically giving them the same access to their lives again. You’ll learn the biblical difference between forgiveness, reconciliation, trust, and restoration—and why protecting your peace does not mean you have failed to forgive. ✝️🤍
God may call you to forgive, but reconciliation requires more than one willing heart. Trust can be rebuilt only when there is genuine repentance, change, honesty, and consistency.
If you have ever wondered, “If I forgive them, do I have to let them back into my life?” this message is for you. 🌿
May this video help you release resentment, walk in wisdom, protect healthy boundaries, and move forward with peace.

Vancouver Sleep Clinic - tired eyes
Vancouver Sleep Clinic - tired eyes
tired eyes
as you're driving home
the world spins by
in monochrome
you're doing overtime
in the undertow
of a restless mind
feeling so alone
there's a world out there you've never known
there's a love that you were never shown
and in the moment you can barely cope
but you dare to hope
fading through
in your weary heart
oh, the mountains moved
to only get so far
but there's a world out thеre you've nevеr known
there's a love that you were never shown
and in the moment you can barely cope
but you dare to hope
into the darkness
into the blue
into the future
you dare to move
longing to flourish
yearning to bloom
give me the courage
to follow you
cause there's a world out there you've never known
there's a love that you were never shown
and in the moment you can barely cope
but you dare to hope
Katie Melua - I Will Be There (Full Concert Version)
She is like the lady down the road
Or just the woman up the street
Like any mother you may know
To me, she is the one who had it planned
To lead us all to Wonderland
She always wanted us to go
And she said
Don't ever be lonely
Remember, I'll always care
Wherever you may be
Remember I will be there
And like another lady that we know
She has a smile so bright and sweet
And hair as white as driven snow
Though life is never easy day to day
She has a very special way
To make us smile when we are low
And she says
Don't ever be lonely
Remember, I'll always care
Wherever you may be
Remember I will be there
Don't ever be lonely
Remember, I will be there
I will be there
I will be there

Far Corporation - Stairway to Heaven (cover) (Rockpop Music Hall 02.11.1985) (VOD)
Far Corporation - Stairway to Heaven
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to Heaven
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to Heaven
There's a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven
Ooh, makes me wonder
Ooh, makes me wonder
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, really makes me wonder
And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter
Oh-oh-oh-oh-whoa
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed, now
It's just a spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on
And it makes me wonder
Oh, whoa
Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know
The piper's calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
And she's buying a stairway to Heaven
X Ambassadors - Follow the Sound of My Voice
X Ambassadors - Follow the Sound of My Voice
Follow the sound of my voice
I’m right here, I’m right here
Follow the sound of my voice
Dry your tears
I’m right here, I’m right here
There’s a red kite in a dead tree in the park
Like something straight out a French new-wave movie
There’s a mother with her toddler in her arms
Wondering how she’s gonna raise that baby
The doctors spelled out all their medical jargon
Aggressive retinal degeneration
She stares at that kite while their words ring in her head:
“I’m sorry ma’am, your son will never see again”
She points a finger at that kite stuck in that tree
She says baby come on baby can’t you see
See how high it is, how bright it is
How it shines against the sky
Can you see it if you try
But he says “I can’t see it”
“Darling,” she says
“Follow the sound of my voice
I’m right here, I’m right here
Follow the sound of my voice
Dry your tears
I’m right here, I’m right here”
Now there’s an acne-covered teenage terror
Upstate New York’s blind piano prodigy
All the kids call him the next Ray Charles
And he plays in a band with his little brother
His brother guides him by the shoulder through these
Loud and crowded venues trying to
Steer that drunken ship through the night
And it hurts a little more each time he watches his big brother try
To find his own way
Up on that stage
He says “I can help you,
Let me help you–
Follow the sound of my voice
I’m right here, I’m right here
Follow the sound of my voice
Dry your tears
I’m right here, I’m right here”
When I feel like I am stumbling in the dark
When I get lost inside this great big world
When I feel like I’m invisible, like nobody cares
You’re always there
Saying “I can see you,
I can see you–
Follow the sound of my voice
I’m right here, I’m right here
Follow the sound of my voice
Dry your tears
I’m right here, I’m right here”
Right here
THE STRUMBELLAS - "We Don't Know" (Live in Austin, TX 2016)
The Strumbellas - We Don't Know
Well I know it gets harder every single day
And I know my darkness will never go away
It's hard when you're living and you don't feel much
And you're down and you're hoping that things are gonna change
Oh, we don't know the roads that we're heading down
But we all know if we're lost, then we'll find a way
We don't know if we leave, will we make it home
But we all know, if there's hope, then we'll be okay
And some say it gets brighter
We just have to wait
Mother, mother, I can feel your heart break
Burning through me every single day
It's hard when you're living and you don't feel much
And you're down and you're hurting 'cause you don't feel loved
It's hard when you're living and you don't feel much
And you're down and you're hoping that things are gonna change
Oh, we don't know the roads that we're heading down
But we all know if we're lost, then we'll find a way
We don't know if we leave, will we make it home
But we all know, there's hope and we'll be okay
Oh, we don't know the roads that we're heading down
But we all know if we're lost, then we'll find a way
We don't know if we leave, will we make it home
But we all know, if there's hope, then we'll be okay
Oh, there's something in my mind that's killing me
There's something that this life's not giving me
Would you say
There's something in my mind that's killing me
There's something that this life's not giving me
Would you say
Oh, we don't know the roads that we're heading down
But we all know if we're lost, then we'll find a way
We don't know if we leave, will we make it home
But we all know, if there's hope, then we'll be okay
Oh, we don't know the roads that we're heading down
But we all know know if we're lost, then we'll find a way
We don't know if we leave, will we make it home
But we all know, if there's hope, then we'll be okay

Echosmith - Goodbye
Try not to let the burn become a scar
What's left of me is only broken parts
You take the pretty and color it dark
My only grievance is a broken heart
When you finally find yourself
Tell him I said, tell him I said
When you finally find yourself
Tell him I said, tell him I said
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
You're riding paper airplanes
Can't see the string
You cover up the poison, with poetry
You traded roses and left me sorry
My only grievance is a broken dream
When you finally find yourself
Tell him I said, tell him I said
When you finally find yourself
Tell him I said, tell him I said
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
Oh-oh-oh
Tell him I said, tell him I said, oh-oh-oh
Tell him I said, tell him I said, oh-oh-oh
Tell him I said, tell him I said, oh-oh-oh
Tell him I said, tell him I said
When you finally find yourself (find yourself)
Tell him I said, tell him I said
When you finally find yourself
Tell him I said, tell him I said
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
"Goodbye"
