Psalm Two -- KJV and Scottish Metrical Psalter

1    WHY do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2    The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3    Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4    He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh:   the LORD shall have them in derision.

5    Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6    Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7    I will declare the decree:  the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son;  this day have I begotten thee.

8    Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9    Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;  thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10    Be wise now therefore, O ye kings:  be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11    Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12    Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.  Blessed are all they
that put their trust in him.

    Psalm Two - KJV

1 Why rage the heathen? and vain things
why do the people mind?
2 Kings of the earth do set themselves,
and princes are combin'd,
To plot against the Lord, and his
Anointed, saying thus,
3 Let us asunder break their bands,
and cast their cords from us.
4 He that in heaven sits shall laugh;
the Lord shall scorn them all.
5 Then shall he speak to them in wrath,
in rage he vex them shall.
6 Yet, notwithstanding, I have him
to be my King appointed;
And over Sion, my holy hill,
I have him King anointed.
7 The sure decree I will declare:
The Lord hath said to me,
Thou art mine only Son; this day
I have begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and for heritage
the heathen I'll make thine;
And, for possession, I to thee
will give earth's utmost line.
9 Thou shalt, as with a weighty rod
of iron, break them all;
And, as a potter's sherd, thou shalt
them dash in pieces small.
10 Now therefore, kings, be wise; be taught,
ye judges of the earth:
11 Serve God in fear, and see that ye
join trembling with your mirth.
12 Kiss ye the Son, lest in his ire
ye perish from the way,
If once his wrath begin to burn:
bless'd all that on him stay.

Kelsea Ballerini - Miss Me More

Kelsea Ballerini - Miss Me More

I retired my red lipstick cause you said you didn't like it
I didn't wear my high heel shoes
Cause I couldn't be taller than you
I didn't want to lose my friends but now it's hard to even find em
It's what you wanted, ain't it
It's what you wanted

I thought I'd miss you
When it ended
I thought it'd hurt me
But it didn't
I thought I'd miss you
I thought I'd miss you

But I miss me more
I miss my own beat
To my own snare drum
I miss me more
I miss my own sheets
In the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams
I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before
I ever kissed you
Yeah I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more
I miss me more

I put on my old records that I hid in the back of the closet
And I turned them up to ten
And then I played them all again
I found my independence can't believe I ever lost it
It's what you wanted, ain't it
It's what you wanted

I thought I'd miss you
When it ended
I thought it'd hurt me
But it didn't
I thought I'd miss you
Yeah I thought I'd miss you

But I miss me more
I miss my own beat
To my own snare drum
I miss me more
I miss my own sheets
In the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams
I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before
I ever kissed you
Yeah I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more
I miss me more

I thought I'd miss you
I thought it'd hurt me
And I'd want to kiss you
I thought I'd miss you

But I miss me more
I miss my own beat
To my own snare drum
I miss me more
I miss my own sheets
In the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams
I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before
I ever kissed you
And I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more
I miss me more
I miss me more
I miss me more

Kashus Culpepper - Man of His Word

Mmm
Little piece of Alabama
Smile for the camera
For the looks and the glamour
Like a nail to a hammer
She’s always comin’ down
Who the hell’s been talkin’
Round of applause and
She’s getting high, then she falling
She getting tall, then she crawlin’
What you running from

Is it a lie that her daddy told her
Is it a scar that she got at thirteen
Is it the late night crying sessions
Is it the bones of a broken dream
Well feathered wings don’t mean you’re flying
Is it a crime to heal the hurt
She don’t need a man that keeps talking
She needs a man of his word

She’s always looking for a savior
Someone who will shape her
Yeah a builder not a breaker
A doer not a sayer
But they never come

As the love in a stranger’s room wakes her
Well she don’t feel anything but the dark and the danger

Is it a lie that her daddy told her
Is it a scar that she got at thirteen
Is it the late night crying sessions
Is it the bones of a broken dream
Well feathered wings don’t mean you’re flying
Is it a crime to heal the hurt
She don’t need a man that keeps talking
She needs a man, well she needs a man of his word
Of his word

Promises easily made are easily broken
And love is more than words that are spoken

Is it a lie that her daddy told her
Is it a scar that she got at thirteen
Is it the late night crying sessions
Is it the bones of a broken dream
Feathered wings don’t mean you’re flying
Is it a crime to heal the hurt
She don’t need a man that keeps talking
She needs a man, well she needs a man of his word
Of his word
Ah, of his word

Ed Sheeran - "I See Fire" - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Ed Sheeran - I See Fire

Oh, misty eye of the mountain below
Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls
And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke
Keep watching over Durin's sons

If this is to end in fire
Then we should all burn together
Watch the flames climb higher into the night
Calling out father, oh, stand by and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountainside

And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father, oh
Prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountainside

Desolation comes upon the sky

Now I see fire
Inside the mountains
I see fire
Burning the trees
And I see fire
Hollowing souls
And I see fire
Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me

Oh, should my people fall then
Surely I'll do the same
Confined in mountain halls
We got too close to the flame
Calling out father, oh
Hold fast and we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on
The mountainside

Desolation comes upon the sky

Now I see fire
Inside the mountains
I see fire
Burning the trees
And I see fire
Hollowing souls
And I see fire
Blood in the breeze
And I hope that you remember me

And if the night is burning
I will cover my eyes
For if the dark returns then
My brothers will die
And as the sky's falling down
It crashed into this lonely town
And with that shadow upon the ground
I hear my people screaming out

Now I see fire
Inside the mountains
I see fire
Burning the trees
And I see fire
Hollowing souls
And I see fire
Blood in the breeze

I see fire (oh you know I saw a city burning)
(Fire)
And I see fire (feel the heat upon my skin) (fire)
And I see fire (fire)
And I see fire (burn auburn on the mountainside)

John Chapter Twenty-one

1    AFTER these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias;  and on this wise
    shewed he himself.

2    There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the
sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

3    Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing.  They say unto him, We also go with thee.  They went forth,
and entered into a ship immediately:  and that night they caught nothing.

4    But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore:  but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5    Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat?  They answered him, No.

6    And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.  They cast therefore, and now
they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

7    Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.  Now when Simon Peter heard that
it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

8    And the other disciples came in a little ship;  (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,)
    dragging the net with fishes.

9    As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

10    Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

11    Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, and hundred and fifty and three:  and for
all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

12    Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine.  And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou?  knowing
    that it was the Lord.

13    Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

14    This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

15    So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?
He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;  thou knowest that I love thee.  He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16    He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?  He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;
thou knowest that I love thee.  He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17    He saith unto him, the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?  Peter was grieved because he said unto him
the third time, Lovest thou me?  And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things;  thou knowest that I love thee.
Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

18    Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest:
but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee
    whither thou wouldest not.

19    This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God.  And when he had spoken this he saith
    unto him, Follow me.

20    Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following;  which also leaned on his breast
at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

21    Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22    Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?  follow thou me.

23    Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die:  yet Jesus said not unto
him, He shall not die;  but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

24    This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

25    And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose
that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.  Amen.

Living Colour - Cult of Personality

Living Colour - Cult of Personality

[Intro: Malcolm X]
"And during the few moments that we have left
We wanna talk right down to Earth
In a language that everybody here can easily understand"

[Verse 1]
Look in my eyes, what do you see?
The cult of personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
I've been everything you wanna be
Oh, I'm the cult of personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy
I'm the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality

[Refrain]
Neon lights, Nobel Prize
When a mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You won't have to follow me
Only you can set me free

[Guitar Solo 1]

[Verse 2]
I sell the things you need to be
I'm the smiling face on your TV
Oh, I'm the cult of personality
I exploit you, still you love me
I tell you one and one makes three
Oh, I'm the cult of personality
Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi
Oh, I'm the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality

[Refrain]
Neon lights, Nobel Prize
When a leader speaks, that leader dies
You won't have to follow me
Only you can set you free

[Guitar Solo 2]

[Verse 3]
You gave me fortune, you gave me fame
You gave me power in your god's name
I'm every person you need to be
Oh, I'm the cult of personality
I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of
I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of
I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of
I'm the cult of, I'm the cult of personality

[Outro: John F. Kennedy & Franklin D. Roosevelt]
"Ask not what your country can do for you"

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself"

Soundgarden - The Day I Tried To Live

Soundgarden - The Day I Tried To Live

 [Verse 1]
I woke the same as any other day
Except a voice was in my head
It said, "Seize the day, pull the trigger
Drop the blade and watch the rolling heads"

[Chorus 1]
The day I tried to live
I stole a thousand beggars' change
And gave it to the rich, yeah
The day I tried to win
I dangled from the power lines
And let the martyrs stretch, yeah

[Post-Chorus]
Singing, one more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
One more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
The day I tried to live, yeah

[Verse 2]
Words you say
Never seem to live up to the ones inside your head
The lives we make
Never seem to ever get us anywhere but dead
[Chorus 2]
The day I tried to live
I wallowed in the blood and mud
With all the other pigs, hey

[Post-Chorus]
Singing, one more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
One more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
The day I tried to live, yeah
I tried

[Verse 3]
I woke the same as any other day
You know why I should have stayed in bed

[Chorus 3]
The day I tried to win
I wallowed in the blood and mud
With all the other pigs
And I learned that I was a liar (One more time around)
I learned that I was a liar (One more time around)
I learned that I was a liar (One more time around)
I learned that I was a liar (One more time around)
[Post-Chorus]
Singing, one more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
One more time around (might do it)
One more time around (might make it)
The day I tried to live, yeah

[Outro]
Just like you
Just like you
One more time around
One more time around

Hebrews Chapter Eight

1    NOW of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:  We have such an high priest, who is set on the
    right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

2    A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

3    For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices:  wherefore it is of necessity that this man
    have somewhat also to offer.

4    For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according
    to the law:

5    Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he
was about to make the tabernacle:  for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern
shewed to thee in the mount.

6    But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better
covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7    For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8    For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new
covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9    Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in that day when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt;  because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them
    not, saith the Lord.

10    For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord;  I will put
my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:  and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to
    me a people:

11    And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:
for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12    For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13    In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old.  Now that which decayeth and waxeth old
    is ready to vanish away.
